overall the condo was very nice and spacious. Keep in mind, the kitchen is on the 3rd floor, so it is a bit of a workout for elderly. Also qas missing a broom, bad to go to thw store to get a cheap broom. Also the top floor is a bit warmer then the other 2 floors. Rooms are set up nicely.

We had a wonderful stay. Enough space to accommodate four families including eight children, ages 15 years to 6 weeks. Everyone got their own bedroom, and the older kids got the game room. Within walking distance to the beach, but we rented a golf cart for ease and additional fun. You can also take a personal vehicle if you like, but buy the beach permit. The splash pad was a giant hit with the littles and their moms. They spent more time there than on the beach. Be aware, the kitchen is on the third floor, as clearly advertised. Much to our surprise, we spent most of our indoor time on the 3rd floor with the food, and not on the ground floor in the game room. So, be prepared to climb stairs. Everyone got their daily cardio. Furniture was new and very comfortable. The families with smaller children really liked having the bunkbeds in the same room with them. Beds in the bedrooms were great. Daybeds were good quality, but not as comfortable as bedrooms. Kitchen had plenty of really nice plates, cups, and utensils. Cookware was adequate, but could use more medium sized pots. If you can, have item cool before putting them in the refrigerator as it did take some time to cool down the warm items. The balconies proved to be a nice play area for the littles, especially in the mornings when others wanted/needed to sleep a little longer. We took a rubber play mat that proved to be a wise decision for the wood balcony floor. The beach was full not nearly as crowded as other places. We easily found a spot well distanced from others. Padre Escapes was very quick in responding to any question or request, and were always friendly. I will definitely look for this property again on a future trip to Corpus.

We had a lovely stay. The unit is very clean and nice. The proximity to the beach was wonderful and the pools/splash pad/playground were awesome for this kids!
That being said there were a few things I was a little disappointed with but are really just a personal preference! None would keep me from staying again. I have young kids and the kitchen/living room being on the top floor was a bit inconvenient. I didn’t realize that before hand, but if you have a little older kids this would be no problem. Unfortunately the dryer didn’t work. I was kinda depending on it for laundry with small kids so that was a bit of a disappointment. Especially after I washed all the towels! But the management company was very sympathetic and brought over some extra towels. The last thing, and I know it’s a beach vacation weekend and you have to deal with the behavior or others, but the individuals in the neighboring units were very loud until about 2:30am. I’m not sure if the walls were just thin or they were that loud but no one in our group could sleep. We did try to go over and ask them to be a little quieter but they never answered the door.

Thank you for the feedback, the dryer has since been replaced. We do not manage the neighboring units otherwise we would've contact the guest directly, we recommend calling the police should this ever be an issue but this is the first time it's been reported to us at this property.

The location was difficult for my GPS to find, took me to 2 wrong locations before going to the right place. The rooms were spacious as well as the layout of the house however the main living was located on the 3rd floor. The kids game room was on the ground floor. The struggle was real when trying to bring snacks and lunch like a good mom, by the end it was “come and get it”. Another issue was that it’s a beach house, sand is expected and should be prepared for as much as possible but we couldn’t find a broom anywhere. We had to go buy one at the Dollar General, then later found one but no dust pan. Also there were no rugs... no rugs to wipe your feet before getting into the bed. The sheets were like 10 thread count so you’d hardly notice the rough sand in the bed I guess (I’m not being pretentious, even my 4 y/o said the sheets were ouchie). Then to top things off the dryer broke, we couldn’t get a replacement in time so we couldn’t properly do laundry... in a 5 bedroom house, max occupancy of 18! It was a hot nightmare of a mess. We were reimbursed some but not enough to deal with the madness. Last petty complaints: it’s not ON the beach, it’s a 5-8 minute walk. You can barely see the water from the patios. There’s also not direct access from the back which would make sense, you have to walk all the way around the building and pass the back. This also meant walking in the road with kids. There are LITERALLY no hooks in the rooms. Again, it’s a beach house... plan for towels to be everywhere, at least a clothes line in the patio area. We had towels hanging off doors, doorknobs, bedrails, over showers, over cabinet doors, everywhere except hooks! Could have used a can opener and scissors in the kitchen. Downstairs bedroom door to bathroom didn’t latch or lock, kids just running in freely. Freezer didn’t freeze, we had ice pop soup. Probably wouldn’t choose this

Thank you for the So many complaints you ran out of room, that's a first. Many of these are a first for us to hear from a guest but we will certainly check on your concerns.
Yes, you are correct, the kitchen, dining and living area is on the third floor so you can take advantage of the view. Most guests enjoy having split areas for kids and adults to enjoy. You're also correct in that the dryer went down during your stay, you were reimbursed $200 due to this issue and we offered to restock your towels throughout your stay. From time to time these things happen, they're out of our control but we do our best to roll with the punches and try to accommodate the best we can.
The property is not advertised as "ON the Beach" but it is directly across the street from the beach, which is considered a very short walk by most. We'll look over your least and address any valid complaints. Thanks you again for the feedback.

Was ok had leaks n air not functioning right. Did not enjoy the 3rd level kitchen because both my parents struggled alot.

Thank you for your feedback, from my understanding you guys ran the AC so low you froze it up and caused the leaks but we'll have it double checked to make sure it is not an issue going forward. Yes the kitchen and living area are on the third floor so you can enjoy the great view! Thank you again for your feedback.

As always Padre Escapes met our needs. Have taken my students to SkillsUSA competitions the last 4 years and stayed with Padre Escapes each time. Will do it again. The parking got to be a problem on the weekend, but that is a people problem. Not much respect for other guest.

Thank You, Padre Escapes, for helping to make our stay on Padre Island a memorable one. The Townhouse we rented could not have been better for my family of 10. It was beautiful, clean, and wonderful for all of us to be able to spend the time together in one house with everyone having privacy in their own bedrooms. And it was so close to NASCC, which was a plus.
We enjoyed being close to the beach. We spent several hours on the nearby jetty watching the dolphins give us a show jumping in and out of the water, and on the Bob Hall Pier getting some sun watching the fishermen bring in their haul. The nearby German Bakery was delicious and is highly recommended as a must stop.
I have already recommended Padre Escapes to another family who will be in the area in March. They will not be disappointed renting this home from you. I would definitely rent this property again should we be back in Corpus Christi in the future. Padre Escapes, you made me the hero of the week for renting this home from you :) Thank You for everything!!

Lovely location with great beach views. Well outfitted, except we could not find ironing board. Also, make sure to note that as we were told there is a regulation that prohibits leaving any sort of food items, so there is no salt, pepper, any of the basics so be sure to bring from home. Comfy beds! Make sure you know there are lots of stairs so your peeps need to be ready to climb and earn their supper! (or cocktail!) Thanks for a fun stay!

Recently stayed at this property and loved it! The views from the balcony were amazing, enjoyed spending time out there, relaxing while the sun set. Our entire family had such a great time and we can't wait to come back next year. The staff at Padre Escapes is wonderful and very helpful.

Besides the fridge being broken our stay was perfect! The maintenance and properties staff was quick to provide ice and coolers until we could fix the fridge the next day. Once the fridge was fixed everything went smoothly! Clean, comfy, and fun! This is our second year staying here on the property (first time in this unit) and we will definitely be back again for a third.

Overall great place to stay and it can sleep a lot of folks. You can easily walk to the beach from this place and the kids loved the splash pad. Only issue we had was the a little lack of amenities in the kitchen. There was not a large pot to boil water, the kitchen cabinets were all full of plates and cups (no room for food), and there were no hotpads for pulling items from the oven.
- Kevin S. from San Antonio, Posted: 08/10/2018
The vacation home is perfect for 4 families with children. The 5th bedroom is more like a gathering place that children can sleep in. The house was clean and super close to the beach!!!! Both the pools on the property were extremely clean and fun for all.

Beautiful home. The cleanest home we have ever rented. Very comfortable home. Close to the beach. Several of us would walk to the beach daily. Great sunsets from the 3rd floor deck. We cooked at home so cannot speak of restaurants. Did visit HEB daily..

Sometimes you wonder if what you see is what you get..we definitely did in this regard. While the main living area is on the top floor, it made for getting our "steps" in during our vacation of eating and beaching! Most everything we needed was here and SO close to the beach.
- Mark H. from Kansas City, Posted: 08/01/2018
The rental was perfect besides the dirty linens. It looks exactly like the pictures I’ll definitely be renting again!
- David R. from San Antonio, Posted: 07/08/2018
This unit was awesome. 3 stories of awesomeness! First floor has bedroom with bath & entry game room. 2nd floor has 2 bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. 3rd floor has living room, kitchen and bedroom with bath. Half a block from beach access. Pool is across the parking lot. Only complaint would be that the back fenced area did not have gate entry from the rear.

The place is pretty and smells new but there are too many stairs. The kitchen which is the most important room for our family is on the third floor and the air conditioner does NOT cool up there!!!! My parents who are 66and 94 yr old gma were not able to enjoy. We never found the adult pool either. They ask you to take out all trash when you leave but they don't supply trash bags or extra toilet paper. They only left the one bag in the cans which got full instantly with 12 people in the house.would it have been to hard for them to at least leave 3 or 4 extra bags or an extra roll of toilet paper. we will never rent here again!! We have rented many places before this is the worst as far as supplies and comfort/family environment.
- Anonymous from Leander, Posted: 05/19/2018
We're disappointed to hear your issues but it sounds like there was some miscommunication or overlooked items. We do provide extra trash bags as well as 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. You are correct the kitchen is on the third floor along with the living room. That is where the majority of people spend their time so that layout makes it easy for them to enjoy the great view. I could see how that would not be the ideal layout for someone elderly but most people really enjoy it. Sorry to hear you won't be back but we do appreciate your feedback.
