First of all, we stayed in unit 3 room #123. There are several units with 3 floors each. They seemed a little old and the breezeway in the middle with stairs was open to the outside and not air conditioned. The pool and main house don’t contain living units. Ours is the unit that’s next to the road, and the porch is facing the road- I was hoping for different. So it was just traffic going by as you sat. The room looked exactly like the pictures and the pool was well kept and clean. People at the pool were all very nice and pleasant during our stay. The room was also clean and in order with extra blankets and such. No bed bugs or critters. I checked. The location is good. My only complaint was the smell of mold/mildew in the place... but I couldn’t tell where it was coming from. If you look at the door frame - it was quite black and icky and I was concerned that maybe there had been a mold issue and it was remodeled over it- because the room looked very well kept while the breezeway looked totally different. The smell got a little better after AC was on for a while, and after being in the room you couldn’t tell anymore. But upon re-entry it was clearly there, but tolerable. I’m big on smells and sensitive to this so I was concerned. However I didn’t have any headaches or typical sinus issues. So- I was puzzled. Maybe it just smelled that way. Other than that, we had a great time. But I would try another room next time simply because of the smell. Top: go explore the beach at night with strong flashlights. So fun.

Disappointed that there were not a lot of amenities compared to some other properties. Saw several bugs and killed a large roach. Mold in the corner of bathtub. Found long hair in sheets, floors were not real clean.

The room was very clean when we got there. The kitchen was fully stocked and the bed was very comfortable. It was decorated so cute. The location is very close to the beach. It was just perfect. I would definitely stay there again.

This unit was very clean, had upgraded appliances in the kitchen, good working ac, and was super close to the beach. We also used the pull out couch and appreciated the extra linens and pillows. We loved the location in the complex as it was easy to get to. We would love to stay here again.

What a perfect little place. It was everything we wanted, clean, well equipped and comfortable. Everything mechanical worked, the kitchen was well equipped, good internet, cable TV and Roku TV in the bedroom.

Satisfied with rental company personnel we dealt with. We stayed at the Beach Club two times before. We like the location. It is a quiet property. The grounds were clean, but some exterior paint and some deferred maintenance should be addressed. The rental unit was in good condition. Would stay there again.

The condo was nice and exactly what we needed for the 4 of us to stay.The few recommendations we would recommend. Is to put curtains up so guest would be able to sleep in and put a door where the washer and dryer are located for noise purposes. Update knives in kitchen.

The Beach Retreat was very clean upon arrival. Kitchen was fully stocked with enough plates, glasses, pots and pans for cooking. I will return back to this beach club resort in the near future. The only thing I recommend for this resort is better parking areas for extra vehicles. The rental carts were parking in the non-reserved areas and no where else too park. Also, our dining area had a broken green chair (needs repairing.

Stayed 2 months in Beach Retreat. Condo was adequate for our needs. Close to the beach. Nice enclosed pool. Pet friendly. A little concerned because there were no grab bars in the bath tub which was slippery. We put down rubber mat in tub which helped. On site HOA rep was not helpful. Told us she wasnt allowed to talk to guests when we had maintenance issue. HOA rep directed us to call the mgt company we rented from (who did help), but the staff doing the work around the complex all reported to the HOA rep who wouldnt talk about any issues. Not a professional way to handle paying guests.

Perfect stay at Beach Club! Room was clean well equipped. The facilities (gym, pool hot tub) were excellent. We had a perfect stay.

Padre Escapes employees were very easy to reach and had great commnuncations letting us know when there was condo maintenance going on and letting us know info for check in and check out via text message.

We enjoyed staying at this condo for it’s convenient location to the beach, and the amenities provided. We loved the winter sun exposure as we had good light throughout the rental. The owners were attentive to our problem of a broken washing machine and reimbursed us generously for the inconvenience of needing to use the laundry at the clubhouse. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming at the clubhouse and pool. Very fun stay!

We rented BC123 condo for 33 days. It was relatively clean upon arrival and was furnished per the photos and description. Location to beach was great – short walk to Whitecap Beach and the sea wall. Near a variety of restaurants, shopping, and gas stations including a grocery store, Island Market. Inside the unit, there were 2 dead cockroaches; one in dining room and one in kitchen. We continued to see the roaches throughout our month-long vacation in this unit, some alive and later some dead (as unit was “treated” several times). I took pictures and a video as proof as it seemed some management did not believe they kept coming. We had over 12 live ones, some 1 1⁄2 inches long – in the silverware drawer, in the cabinets, in the bathtub. Finally, a week before we checked out, after checking doors, one of the maintenance guys said the seal (gasket/weather stripping) around patio door was badly worn with a separation even when closed. He replaced the seal. Still had a few more but they might have gotten in before the door seal was replaced. Kim, property mgmt coordinator, tried her best to help but unless someone sent a person to really inspect where these bugs were coming from, nothing helped. So creepy and disappointing. The clothes dryer had to be replaced the first week due to severe rust on the door that was captured on our clothes as we gingerly put the clothes inside. The owner did replace it and we appreciated that. We really enjoyed the Beach Club complex, our neighbors, other friends we made and will definitely return but not to this unit unless we are guaranteed there would be no more cockroaches. This problem put a real damper on our vacation. Everything else was acceptable and this review could have been so much better. So sad.

Overall experience was great. Location location convenient to most stores and restaurants and Whitecap beach. Location on main road so can be some what noisy on outside patio. Only "Big" problem was that there was no hot water. Had to take very
lukewarm showers.

We had a good time. Great location. Pool was very nice. Building a little outdated with rotted wood/holes on stairs. I’m really glad we had bottom floor. We did have some bugs in the apartment. We think it’s because we were on the corner and there was a gab in the seam at the bottom of the back patio door. However the huge roach on ceiling in kitchen, bathroom, and baby roach in the bed was not fun. The Beatles were not a problem. I think it just needs to be exterminated more. Also think the floors need to be cleaned better. If you walk around barefoot, your feet turned black pretty quickly.
Overall though we would go back. Great set up. Everything else was nice.

Everything went smooth from the time we booked. Great communication and check in process. When we walked in the smell about knocked me over.. musty smell. The vent for air conditioner which is near the kitchen table was very dirty. After looking around, I think that’s the source of the smell. When we got home and unpacked, my clean clothes had that same smell and had to re wash everything. The cabinet doors in the bathroom need to be wiped down with cleaner. Lastly, there were several little black beetle looking bugs in the kitchen, so perhaps the until needs an exterminator or be bug bombed. Other than those things, it was nice enough for just my husband and I. We didn’t spend a whole lot of time in the room anyway. If we stayed at this location again, I would probably try a different unit.

We loved the condo, it was very clean and had everything we needed. Being just a short walk to the beach was a huge plus. The staff was super helpful and nice. If I had any complaints at all it would be that the bathroom had an odor that was fixable and the shower probably needs an update. Nothing bad at all though, the bed was surprisingly comfortable.

Property is in a good location for a beach vacation. The unit was not completely clean arrival. The kitchen sink and the top of the washing machine had sticky stains on them and the ice maker in the refrigerator was not working. Both were promptly reported to management via text message but no reply or response was ever received. Later we dicovered mold in the bathroom. Parking space 41 is extremely difficult to get into unless you have a smart car or perhaps a mini-cooper. For a full-size vehicle like our pickup, it is almost impossible if there are other vehicles parked in nearby spaces.

The unit was okay. It was clean and close to the beach. However, the parking spot was terrible. It was hard to park if the neighboring spot was taken. Several times construction vehicles and trailers were parked in the fire lane, which made it impossible to park. Many times we had to park over by the pool. The unit had lots of storage. Bed and pillows were comfy. Appreciated the ice maker. Neither can opener worked, electric or manual. Complex is well-maintained and quiet. Padre Escapes is great to work with. Will continue to book through them.

Room was adorable but there was a smell of mildew in the room they offered to put some type of machine to clean the air but I didn't want someone in the room after I checked in. That kinda bummed me out my kids had different rooms and they didn't have a problem

Our first floor condo worked out great. We had easy access and a good view of Lake Padre. All furniture and bed were in good condition. All kitchen accessories were in good working order. The picture shows a rug on the living floor, but it was non-existent; we would have liked a rug in this area. We love Padre Island, and Beach Club Condos is the perfect place to call home as a Winter Texan.

We stayed at this condo for 3 nights and we had no issues whatsoever. There was a welcome packet with good information when we got there everything was in order. There were plenty of towels toilet paper and paper towels for our stay even though I bought extra. It was so nice to have a washer and dryer. The kitchen was well-equipped although I never cooked. The bed was very comfortable. And the shower was amazing with great water pressure in the water heated up quickly. It was literally one block walk to the beach. And close to the stripes right down the road in case you needed something. I forgot my husband's flip flops and we had to go to stripes and buy a new pair for $12 which wasn't too bad. I would highly recommend this condo.

We loved the Beach Club Condominium community and location. We were very close to the beach and there were so many amenities to enjoy in the complex. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub area as well as the gazebo and fitness center. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and enjoyed the Mardi Gras parade and Kite Festival. Always some activity going on! A couple of minor issues arose during our stay, but Padre Escapes personnel responded immediately and fixed them the same day. Very satisfied with our stay and already booked for next year!

Condo was everything we expected and more! Comfy bed super close to the beach, on the plus side was that the pool and hot tub area was open 24hrs and never overcrowded even on the week of the 4th of July. We were very happy with our stay will be back next year!

My wife and I are in the process of moving from upstate NY to Corpus Christi. We needed a furnished one bedroom and wanted to be near the beach, had to have a fitness center and pool. This location hit a bulls eye in every category. Exceptional value, it had everything we needed for a month. The beach was a 5 minute walk, fitness center is very adequately equipped, pool and spa are very nice. Always felt comfortable and safe there. Check in/out was extremely efficient and easy. Would go back there for a stay in an instant. I am somewhat picky and can be a bit critical but this property gave no reason too. Conveniently located near restaurants, fast food, a great German Bakery/Restaurant and 10 minutes from a giant grocery store.

The rental experience was good with the exception that WI-FI was not available in the unit but was available at the Beach House. The system was down for all of our ten day stay, Would recommend that WI-FI be available in rental units if not already a part of the package.

My family ( husband, 2 boys & mother-n-law) stayed here July 2016 & loved it! The location was great, beaches are perfect, and condo was nice. Check-in was very easy. The condo had everything we needed. The only negative thing was there were a few roaches! I would recommend getting pest control asap! I don't like creepy crawly bugs where I sleep. Overall, I would stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!

Had a great stay at the Beach Retreat! Condo was nice and clean and just right for our needs. My biggest complaint would be all of the grass burr stickers that were all over the place. Grassy areas, carpets in hallways, and carpet in closet of condo. Otherwise, it was great! Would definitely go back and use them again! Really enjoyed our stay.

We were very happy with the condo. It was clean and tastefully decorated. It was nice that the building was closest to the beach but the intersection was quite busy. Having internet would have been appreciated so I didn't have to go to the business center to check emails. Being on the first floor was super convenient.

Overall we were very satisfied with our stay at Beach Retreat. However, something should be done about the ants on the floor that ended up climbing into the beds and our luggage. Also, a mirror outside the bathroom would be convenient.
