We absolutely loved our stay! You’re not far from the beach, and there is a place call “the boat house” right down the street. The doc and pool are open at all times, and everyone is very polite who live there. We will definitely be visiting again!

We've rented at this condo for several winters and enjoyed the management. They replaced a blender that died promptly and had HVAC service over immediately to remedy the air conditioner that had issues. The sofa is pretty soft and the cabinetry could be updated but we had a new washer and drier this year. The unit is only a short walk to the beach which we enjoyed almost daily. The opening of the Don Patricio channel should offer more fish moving into the unit's "back yard". The sunsets are awesome from the deck!!! The permanent residents in the neighboring units are very friendly. We were invited to their Fat Tuesday party again this winter. And Peter has been become my buddy...probably because I always have a doggy treat for him. We've already booked one of the units in the condo again for next winter:)

Awesomeness..
This was our first of (hopefully) many stays in this unit! 10 days of a really good time for the two of us and our medium-size dog. The unit was remarkably clean and obviously well cared for. Never a problem with any of yhr amenities. Brand new HE washer and dryer! Fishing was good off the dock (I caught a 23" redfish and another young man caught a 30" and a 26" and a whole lot of other fish, too). Good places to eat or get delivery. Buy your groceries in town as grocery prices are rude on the island. Neighbors, both full-time and visitors, were nice, friendly, and we'll behaved. CANNOT wait for our next getaway here!!

The condo had everything we needed. Beds were comfy, A/C works great. Kids enjoyed the pool & watching the jumping fish from the dock. 2 Pets are allowed, but everything is pretty close quarters so you might need to walk them out by the road. Michael J. Check-in/check-out was easy breezy, property was clean and just as described, dog area was tiny, mattresses were very firm, a convenient short drive to beaches and restaurants, view of sunsets off the docks was beautiful, catch and release fishing was plentiful enough for the kids with proper bait (we used dead shrimp with much success but *again*we weren’t fishing for whoppers or anything, just fun for the kids), other comments about the “local” residents had us cautious but we kept to ourselves and were respectful and cleaned up after our dogs without letting them bark and we had no trouble with the residents. Overall, this was an excellent experience and would recommend!

This property was not great for the price. The beds were hard and pillows flat. It also was not as clean as you would think, with the cleaning fees that are charged. the picture of the water is kind of deceiving, there are only two pier/decks for the complex.

This was our 3rd year staying at this complex and we all ways love it. This year was a little different. The people that live in the other units at this location seemed to be bothered. They made it very clear they didn't want the vacation stays there. There is 4 units that had permanents residents, and they made it very clear that we were not welcomed. Other than that we love the locations and amenities of this stay but unfortunately we will not return.

The condo is great- Padre Escapes management is great. Unfortunately we won’t be staying here again due to the rude full time residents. We were confronted by 2 different residents complaining about our dog barking even tho our neighbors were home all day and never heard her. Another time was at 7am when we were all asleep (including the dog). These people sit outside and smoke constantly making the pool area unenjoyable. I was constantly on edge about what they would say to us next. It is clear they do not want vacationers in their “territory”.

We enjoyed staying at the Leeward Cove property. The location was great. We loved the ability to fish off the back decks. The condo was clean and nice. The pool was nice and not as crowded as other properties. It was convenient to the beach and other attractions. We love bringing our dogs, so pet friendly is alwasy a plus. We did have a problem with check in this time. We have stayed with Padre Escapes many times and never had issues. We were waiting outside the property a few minutes before 4 which was guaranteed check in time. We reached out and the management said we would be in by 4 but it still needed to be inspected. We waited and saw a staff member show up and leave. We waited several more minutes to get our check in instructions and finally had access to the unit around 4:45 pm. I feel like they forgot about our reservation and had to hurry to get the property ready.

the Condo itself was FANTASTIC. My two big things I look for right away upon entering are AC ad WIFI. Do those two things work? They did and they were fine the inside was really nice, had everything we needed plates, forks, knives, etc... The neighbors were polite and the back section of the property has it's own dock.

Our condo was clean, well-maintained, and Padre Escape does a wonderful job of providing customer service. They were prompt in replying to an issue with our cable tv service, regularly checked the air filter for the hvac system, and gave us regular updates on outages, weather issues, etc. We were very impressed with this. The occupants of the neighboring condos were all very friendly. We enjoyed our two months on the island...the surf fishing wasn't the best this winter but we enjoyed our daily walks on the beach and our weekly golf excursions to the Oso Golf Club. This was our fifth year wintering on Padre Island but our first at this condo...we've already booked it for next winter:)

This is a great location for fishing and tourist attractions. The condo is steps away from the dock for some night fishing.
The décor is very cute and the condo clean. Great having a washer/dryer and dishwasher.
I highly recommend this condo for a family of four or less.
Check-in and out was so easy. I would say the most convenient I have encountered over all the years we have been vacationing around Padre.

This rental was very clean and we loved the layout. The property was quiet and hosted mainly families or Winter Texans so we enjoyed the peaceful stay. The fishing isn't the best but was great for our toddler and pre-teen to be able to sit out and catch little fish all night. We really enjoyed having the washer/dryer in the condo and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and eat on. The pool and hot tub were a nice bonus as well!!

Somewhat dissatisfied. We could not fish at night time because the dock had no lights on it due to Hurricane Hannah. We were not informed of this. Some of the lights were not working in the house. There was water bugs in the bathroom and kitchen. I may think twice on renting again for a while. The partying going on with little nor respect to other guest.

Out of the 3 days that we stayed we had no power/electricity 2 of those days. Power was out was out 9 hours the first day and some of our food went bad. Then when the power went out again! Like really?! We did not get to enjoy any of the amenities inside the house, we could not do the simple things like cooking or making coffee. We had to stay outside because since no power meant no air conditioning it felt like a sauna inside the house. We have stayed in many different condos in that area for many years, we divided to go outside our comfort zone and try this new place and let me tell you it’ll be the last time we go. The pictures of the house look so good but when you are actually arrive all I felt was cramped in this small area. The pool was extremely small and it was also dirty and the jacuzzi did not work.

Due to fires near the Padre Island National Seashore, it was out on the whole island and there isn't much we can do about that. We appreciate your feedback.

over all really good stay, recommend change dead bolt on the door it took us almost 10 min to unlock on one morning its old and very corroded. The coffee pot needs replaced we had to go and buy one. other than that the visit was really great very comfortable.Close to the beach was great.We liked the dock area was great for fishing and relaxing in the evenings.

Overall the property was in good shape. Nice deck and boat slips.
I was very disappointed in promise I received when leasing that I could park my boat trailer in the parking lot, which was not to be. I was told I had to park on the street by mgr. when I refused, based on what I was promised, he contacted Padre Escapes. I went to PE office where I checked in, and was told by mgr that I had to move my truck and trailer both to street, per HOA rules. I will never lease there again, because I was to,d different stories by different people, in effect to get my money but provide no solution for me. Plus, the PE mgr was very cocky in his attitude.
They advertise Pet friendly, but my dog had nowhere to go outside that wasn’t bare ground covered in stickers.
My SIL suffered a puncture wound on his foot one night while taking the dog out. There was rusty rebar sticking out of the concrete on property 1-3”.

I booked this rental based off photos and reviews. I couldn't be happier with the stay. Check in and check out was a breeze. The property was cozy and located close to the beach than I expected. The bath towels that were supplied were brand new so we had little white fuzzies come off every time we used them, and we had a smoke detector start beeping in the middle of the night because the batteries needed changed. Other than those two things our stay way magnificent. I would definitely rent again.

We ended up spending more time in the rental that we had planned, due to the cold weather. With that being said, it was a perfect little get away for us. My only complaints are items that can not be helped. The shower head is low (very low), but had great water pressure. The other complaint was all of the burrs in the pet area, we ended up taking our dog out back by the water to go potty to avoid all of the burrs. Nothing that wouldn't make us book a stay here again. The beautiful fishing doc/pier as pictured, has yet to be repaired, but we were able to fish from the seawall. :)

Thank you for your feedback. The sticker burrs you mentioned are a constant battle here on the island. I know they are working on clearing them out of that particular area but it's a tough battle. With all the work in Port Aransas and Rockport it's hard to find contractors to do work on things like that deck but I'm sure they have plans to fix it. Thank you again for your feedback.

We came to visit family and they were able to come visit us and fish out the back door. It was really nice our stay was great. The only downside was the hurricane knocked the dock out so there are just boards. We loved our stay and the mgmt company was great as well

The main reason we booked this property was for the lighted fishing pier. Unfortunately, I did not verify that it was still intact after Harvey.
The accommodations are adequate and clean.
The king mattress is quite firm. Extraordinarily so. We had a WiFi issue upon arrival. The Management Company sent someone out IMMEDIATELY and the issue was resolved quickly and professionally. Kudos to Management.

This was our second time to stay in this property, and we plan to stay here again. This condo is the best 2-bedroom place near the beach for a reasonable price. Not beach front, but is only a block off the beach and is on a nice canal with a great fishing dock and boat slips. Also has a small but nice swimming pool on the property. Outside of property looks a little worn, but the inside of this condo is very nice and clean. This small complex (only about 10-12 condos)is family friendly and pet friendly and is quiet and peaceful. The public access to the beach is an easy 10-minute walk or a very easy 2-minute drive. The property has easy access to other beaches (Mustang Island, Port Aransas) and downtown Corpus. Recommend Snoopy's (very near) for a casual seafood lunch or dinner and Water Street Oyster Bar (downtown) for a nice seafood lunch or dinner. Great pizza place just around the corner on SPID. Also a great German bakery for breakfast just around the corner on SPID. Rockport is about a 30 minute drive; great shopping in the little downtown, and eat at Charlotte Plummer's.

We enjoyed our stay and plan to stay there again. Great place for a family with pets. Easy walk to the beach. Great fishing dock on the canal in back. Boat slips available if needed. Inside was fine - a little dated, but very clean and quite. Pool is small but nice. Best price for a 2-bedroom condo.

Even though it was a rainy, we enjoyed spending time in the condo. When you drive up to the location it's a bit deceiving, the place looks out dated and run down, however the condo we stayed in was nice and clean and perfect for my husband, myself, two kids and two small dogs. The pool is very close to the condos, in the middle, and it got a bit loud with all the young kids in it. I was a little disappointed in the "designated" pet area and the grounds themselves were not well groomed and full of stickers. Actually there was no green grass to be found anywhere. Not very pet friendly.

I liked the fact that it had a swimming pool and in back of the property a pier for fishing. Since my autistic son really doesn't do to much fishing he really enjoyed the pool while the others enjoyed the fishing. The property seemed cleaned until I woke up and saw that the comforter had white stains on it and had not been cleaned. I called the office and Spoke to Jy (dont want to reveal name) I told him how disguisting and gross to wake up to something like that. He offered another comforter but we had already slept in it so it kind of defeated the purpose at that point. We just used the extra grey blankets in the closet. Upon check out I discovered receipts and some trash underneath the bed no big deal didn't hurt us but when you pay out of your pocket you really don't want to pay for a dirty comforter and trash under your bed. I guess this was overlooked by inspection.

It was very easy to rent and locate once we got there. The cottage was a nice size for our family. I wish there was a king sized bed in the master suite. The only thing is the big trash can on the outside of the property near the street was overflowing our entire stay.

My three sisters, niece and I had a terrific time. The condo was perfect!! We had everything we need at the tips of our hands! The location was close to everything we needed including the swimming pool, the beach and anything else we needed. We had such a perfect time at the Condo. We plan to do it again!!!

Our vacation at your condo was very successful for our family. The location was perfect, easy access to the beach or anywhere else to the island. The condo was clean, plenty of utensils, linens and initial supplies. Thank you for allowing pets, our dog had the best time there playing on the beach.

It was perfect for my family- we met some wonderful families while staying and loved the dock- if you spent your day at the beach, it was just a short walk or drive away. The condo itself was nice inside and fit our needs- my only complaint was that the hot tub wasn't working. Apparently it was before we got there, then went out. The nights were chilly, so sitting in the hot tub would have been wonderful. We will definitely come back to this place.

Close to the beach, clean, but needs upkeep. The tub didn't drain correctly, the kitchen sink has an issue when you turn on the water, and the upstairs toilet runs every 15 minutes.

This was a last minute trip to the beach with my husband and two kids, ages 3 and 1, and out 2 doxies. Being last minute and also just a long weekend we didn't want to spend too much. Leeward Cove Cottage was perfect for out family! Super affordable, clean, pet friendly, and close to the beach. Everyone we spoke with at Padre Escapes was friendly and willing to help with whatever we would have needed. Would definitely book through them again!
