El Constante 209

This is the 2nd year in a row for my family and I to stay in Unit 209 for our annual family vacation and overall we had a very pleasant stay. It is peaceful, a great location for people watching, and the beds are pretty comfortable. We did however have a couple of issues this year. The night that we arrived to the condo, we noticed that there was fresh blood on the pillowcase in the master bedroom. It must have been overlooked by the cleaning staff which was pretty disappointing and disgusting to see this. Assuming this was a nose bleed from previous guest. We removed the pillowcase and took it down to the office on-site and let them know. The hot tub was broken as well but was not notified about that until after we had already checked out. I also accidentally left my makeup bag (with pretty expensive makeup in it) in the master bedroom and called the next day to try to get it shipped to me and of course there was no sign of my makeup bag anymore. I would have gone back to look for myself but I live almost 4 hours from here so relied on the staff's honesty. I know for a fact that it was in there because this is the last place I had used it so obviously was taken from the room when it was cleaned. I was told by the staff that the room wouldn't be occupied until that Thursday and they would double check for themselves. We had checked out on Sunday so there was a few days that no one was in there but the cleaners. Be very cautious to make sure to get all your things before checking out because the odds of you ever seeing these things again will be slim to none. I did notify management about this situation so hopefully they addressed this concern and are able to hire some honest people that wouldn't just walk off with other peoples property. We still plan on returning next year but will be very cautious about the cleanliness as well as triple checking that we have all our personal belongings before we depart. Overall a relaxing stay.

Beautiful unit in a prime location to enjoy the beach. Well-stocked with any household type items you might need. Balconies with natural airflow, beach sounds and smells, and views for miles was worth every penny.

We have stayed at several other condos and hotels in the area but this one was the most reasonable price and roomy. We had a wonderful time in the hot tub, pool and beach area. Lovely corner unit with amenities and comfort in mind. Fantastic views of beachfront from second and third floor balconies. Comfortable beds and cute furnishings. Be aware that the back bedroom can experience some noise at night from the gate slamming shut out/ back to the parking lot. Also, the left front stove burner is tilted at an angle and gets dangerously hot on low setting...needs some attention! Other than that, this is the best unit we have stayed in at El Constante, which is a long time fav vacation spot!

The room was nice, there were a few things that could have been better. The dishes that were already put away in the drawers and cabinets were still dirty with food. I had to wash everything by hand to ensure it’s cleanliness. The sofa bed was broken, uneven and sunken once opened up all the way. The hot tub was always cloudy and dirty everyday we stayed. Otherwise the view was nice.

We've stayed at El Constante several times, but this was our first time staying in this room. This room was amazing. Equipped with everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The views from the balconies were amazing! The beds were comfy, AC worked great, appliances were top of the line and all in working order. This room came with a washer and dryer so that was very helpful! The office staff at El Constante were pleasant to deal with. I had an HEB delivery order and the front office staff ensured I received my order and had all my items. Highly recommend this rental!!

Opened the blinds to a view of the ocean in all of the first floor and a view of the ocean from our bedroom upstairs. Liked all the seating opportunities on all of the verandas! So close to the beach; beautiful sunrises; all the kitchen items that one who actually cooks could use; all appliances worked; comfortable beds; easy to exchange linens at the office; large TV; workable Wi fi; everything clean; downstairs bathroom available; two full baths upstairs. When considering this condo one needs to be cognizant that stairs need to be climbed to get there and there are stairs to the second floor as well. So close to the beach.

We stayed in this condo and in another one during our stay at El Constante. The bookings online and our arrival and office staff all went perfect!! The condos were clean, beds comfortable. The views can not be beat. Highly recommend El Constante. The best condos located on the beach!! The boardwalk is a huge plus to walk daily!! We enjoyed both condos we stayed at so much, was so hard to leave either one!! Thanks to the staff, we had a great wonderful time!! Much needed. We hope to return many times!!

Overall we had a wonderful 3-night stay in El Constante 209 in May 2021. Office staff were very friendly and professional, our unit was clean and just as depicted in the online photos, and the location and gorgeous views were amazing. We only have one very small suggestion for improvement -- staff closed the pool for about an hour each morning to add pool chemicals -- usually around 10am to 11am. This affected our plan to start off our mornings with pool time before heading to the beach which put a slight damper on our experience. Other than that very small issue, everything else was wonderful and we can't wait to return.

Our stay was one week after Hurricane Hanna and we were in touch with management regarding the condition and any property issues prior to our arrival. Fortunately everything was in great shape, the condo was clean, updated and as advertised. Had a great beach vacation. The location is excellent and we plan to return next year.

We love El Constante and room 209!!! My husband and I rented it 2 years ago for our mothers and decided to stay there ourselves this year with our 9 year and 10 month old daughters; we were so pleased!! This will be our go to every summer when we come to Port A with our family....the room was cozy and clean and the staff is fantastic! We especially love the handy man that works there....he’s always working so hard and does a fantastic job of keeping the grounds looking great!!

Our unit was perfect for my family of 5. The location and view was amazing. The 3 balcony views were great. Kitchen was fully stocked with all of the utensils needed to cook a family meal and the washer and dryer really helped also. Great staff. We have been coming to El Constante for over 12 years and it has been a wonderful place to bring our family. We have never had a problem or situation. This year, towards the last day of our vacation, the was a large family drinking alcohol out of cans in the pool, dipping tobacco (with there spit cup at the edge of the pool)and not abiding by the 20 person limit. There family was more than 20 themselves. They were laying and jumping from the fountain cussing and partying way too loud. We opted to stay out of the pool for the rest of our vacation. I would suggest that the office staff enforce the rules for our safety and comfort.

Really enjoyed our experience in 209. Just as the pictures showed. GREAT LOCATION! Excellent views! My only disappointment was the chairs on the balcony off the living room - they are tall, slanted and just too awkward to comfortably sit in. They might be cool, but even our 17 year old said thumbs down on the chairs. Luckily there was another balcony off the master bedroom.

Staying in the corner unit was perfect for our family after my husband's death. We've been coming to El Constante since the early 80s and glad to see the updates. Having a washer/dryer was essential since we had no cleaning service. Kitchen was well stocked, except for a steamer for our crabs. We did hear a critter near the pantry off and on. I hope 209 is available next visit!

Wonderful place overlooking the ocean. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, stocked with essentials needed for full kitchen. Beautiful and clean pool area and hot tub. Our unit is always amazing. We stay there every year. It is clean, beautiful and the views are amazing. It is right on the beach with easy access to everything, and worth every penny. The pool and grounds are clean and well-maintained. This is the first year, though, that there were issues with guests. Guests were drinking by the pool. A few nights, there was a strong smell of marijuana every time we left our room. My kids were especially uncomfortable with this. One night, there was a very loud pool party that lasted until after midnight. I called the 24 hour number at 10:00, and I was told to call the police if I wanted to report it. Since it wasn't that kind of emergency, we just dealt with it. The management did call me the next day to say that they identified the guests who were partying and addressed the issue which I appreciated. Parking near our room was always full, and I realized that people who were not staying in the complex were parking in the lot to go to the beach. The parking passes were not being checked.
Also, non-guests were using the pool since wristbands were not checked. This has always been a family place, but drinking, drugs and late night parties have changed the atmosphere. Having a night security guard during the summer would make a tremendous difference. Despite the issues, we will continue to stay at El Constante and recommend it to friends.

Lovely condo on beach! Beautifully appointed. 2nd time we've stayed there. Relaxing.
A few suggestions:
Instructions for TV's. All three TVs did not work until a lady from office came to our rescue. Written sheet would be awesome.
No potholders anywhere....
In jest, but would be awesome- someone two old ladies could pay to haul luggage & groceries up the steps to 2nd story. (Or elevator to 2nd floor)

From the moment we walked in until we had to sadly leave, our experience was amazing. We had access to a washer and dryer which makes those wet bathing suits and towels from swimming at the beach and in the pool easier to manage. We were on the side and beach front balconies more than any other visit because the furniture was comfortable and inviting. The condo had recently been updated and the kitchen was fully equipped with all the necessary cooking gadgets. The unit was clean and comfortable. Being right on the beach and having car access made it convienient for our whole family to come and go to the beach throughout the day. We LOVE Padre Island Pizza and they deliver right to the condo. We were thinking about trying someplace different for next year but after the wonderful experience we have already booked the same unit for next year. I would highly recommend El Constante to anyone.

HGTV would be jealous. Rented 2 bed 2 1/2 bath beach front condo for our Mom's birthday. She was so pleased she said, "if I ever get an ocean front condo I want it to look like this". The place looks like HGTV came in and remodeled. As of Labor Day only the beach front condos were remodeled but soon this will be a premiere spot. Hard to find a really nice clean place at North Padre but if that's what you want its definitely worth the price. The lady at the front desk was super nice as well. Pool is nice, short walk to the jetty to see sea turtles in the evening. Couldn't ask for a better vacation!
