Delightful. The music that the cleaners had playing on the TV was the icing on the cake. The rooms were immaculate. We tried to leave the rooms the same way for the cleaning crew.

Unit had been updated downstairs and great view of the ocean. Upstairs bedroom with twin beds was not usable as the beds make so much noise. The box springs are the problem. This unit should not be rented until they are replaced! Also, the water pressure in both upstairs sinks was very low.

This unit had the worse beds we have ever incountered. I checked the mattress tag, it's almost 15 year old -PAST time to replace. We tried all the beds to see if any were comfortable to no avail, all were uncomfortable and noisey. I contacted the mgt co about it twice, no help. Someone needs to do inventory in the kitchen, lacked some dinner untensil, and only had one pot holder. This unit felt like moving sale leftovers. Mgt co did bring more ice cube trays, because there was only one. This unit could really do with some updateing starting with the beds. It is a great location, the pool looked beautiful, people were pleasent. If I could have only had a good night's sleep during our stay, and not awakened at 8AM with a check out reminder.

Unfortunately on our 1st day/ night the Air Conditioning was not working properly. We have stayed on the property at different units for multiple years and luckily never had any issues. We know about AC rules set place upon arrival and departure so you don't freeze the ac. We patiently waited all day for some cool relief and no dice. My poor little kids were literally in bed dripping in sweat with box fans pointed at them and had cold water bottles around them to try to stay cool. They did get an AC tech out about 12:30pm, and after hours staff was very thorough, so we appreciated that. The tech did find a loose wire in the unit, so I'm happy they didn't have to bring in portable ACs as we couldn't take the heat any longer. Good thing we had the fridge stocked with drinks and popsicles. The condo doesn't have any black out curtains so it was scorching inside even though we had them closed all day. I just wish that staff would have tried to offer some kind of compensation for going a full day without cold air,but nothing. The unit was very nice, well stocked kitchen with dishes and toaster, very clean. All beds extremely thin and super firm in our opinions, after a long day on the beach when you're tired you will sleep on anything, but we all said they could use an upgrade. Recliner downstairs needs repair and could be a hazard for children or elderly. The view of the beach is beautiful, the kids enjoyed the pool view. Stay was decent except the 1st day, would recommend to others still because sometimes things break or need repair. The good thing is when we let them know, they were fairly quick about it,especially after hours.

Property is nice, location is great. This particular condo needs some updates. I wish I would have read the reviews before I booked because what people said was on point. For me the bed quality was severely poor. The larger bed in the master was very very firm. The twin beds are poor quality and squeak. The furniture can definitely used updating. There is a very strong smell of mildew. I think for the price you pay these owners need to make some upgrades. We almost went home after night one, that’s how bad the beds were.

We were on the island for a family memorial weekend. The location was perfect for our get together on the beach.
The condo was clean, well stocked and very comfortable. The only thing I can say that needs improvement is the pull out couch bed in the living room needs a mattress topper to make it more comfortable.

We had a great time! Perfect layout for myself, sister and my nephew. Everything was VERY clean/neat upon arrival. We loved the balconies (two overlook the beach, one overlooks the pool!); they were great for watching the sunrise with your coffee! The overall location of this condo is PERFECT! There are steps involved (a disclaimer: both to get to the condo & within the condo); The kitchen & living area is one level; The bedrooms are upstairs/another level. You are super close to the pool; and beach access is so easy! A couple steps away literally. We would definitely stay here again; loved our time at El Constante!!!

This was our 1st time staying at El Constante and we were extremely disappointed in the maintenance and upkeep of unit 203. When we 1st walked in it smelled like mildew, the previous repairs performed on this unit were unsatisfactory (mid-matched paint, obvious patches on interior doors, sheetrock joint compound on the bathroom door, no water pressure flowing from the bathroom sink). I could live with all of that but the beds and furniture in this unit were worse than any I have encountered at any condo that I have ever stayed in in my 40 plus years of visiting the coast at other condo complexes. The beds were so bad (like cardboard over springs) that we couldn’t sleep at all. We had a kingsize headboard mismatched with a full bet. We felt like the entire place was furnished from a garage sale. It was apparent that the owners of this unit don’t care about their guest experience. We will not be returning to this complex again.

Great stay. Walking out the door and being a few steps to the beach is the greatest advantage of this condo. You can see for about 5 miles of beach. The property is at the end of the street next to sand dunes. It was clean and had everything we needed. Forgot to bring our own coffee. AC worked good but alittle noisy downstairs..need to replace grill on return air. Appliances were real nice. Office very friendly and helpful. Pool is great. The beds are ok but were uncomfortable and would be nice if upgraded to better mattresses. Twin beds creak when you get in and out. Would like to have directions for tv, other condo info printed out instead of scan code on frig. We will stay here again just because of the location and the view.

We stayed in Unit 203. It’s a great location that faces the beach and just steps to the water and close to stores and restaurants. Perfect for 4. If you prefer extra blankets and towels bring them because you are only provided with 1 of each for each person. Otherwise the unit itself is clean, comfy, and AC worked great. Beaches are nice but could use daily cleaning.

Great condo and great location on the beach. It was spacious enough for all 6 of us. The second floor bedrooms were spacious, as were the closets. Although, all the mattresses were very noisy and uncomfortable. Bathrooms were clean. So nice to sit on the balconies and watch the sunrise.

Nice condo. Great view. Awesome kitchen!! We do a lot of cooking while on vacation. I do understand everyone likes different types of mattresses to sleep on but the beds were just awful! The worst ever! Extremely hard and extremely loud! Barely touch and it’s noisy. People were at the pool well after midnight being very loud and disrespectful. Unable to get to sleep. I thought there was a quiet time. Next time I’ll be more prepared. Still worth staying at. Would I still pick this condo-yes! The good outweigh the bad. Oh and this place was very clean.

The beach view was great! Awesome sunrise from the patios! Kiddos loved the pool. We really enjoyed our stay but, remodeling going on next to us. Nailers and load music while working which lucky they didn’t work early or long hours. The kitchen and living room/dining area had a terrible mildew smell.

Super easy check-in and check-out process. Be sure to confirm your rental location on the property. While we did get the gulf view, we thought we were getting a 1st-floor walkout. Lots of stairs and no elevators. The only other inconvenience was there were no sheets for the sleeper bed and glad I brought my own paper coffee filters and Dawn for dishes. Could not locate either in the unit. Otherwise, a great place and experience.

The bed upstairs that is listed as a "queen" is as hard as sleeping on the floor. I was tempted to go purchase a topper. I wouldn't have stayed another night due to that bed. It also seems small. We sleep on a queen at home and feel like we have more room but the real issue was how very hard the mattress was. The twins were very squeaky my children said. For the price, the bedding should be resort comfortable and it was not. Also, the door that is locked by the kitchen needs to be painted. just aesthetics of when you walk in. We also had nothing to clean with after cooking. A small bottle of something to clean the stove off with would have been nice.

It was a pretty nice stay. A couple of things. MBTH toilet paper holder is wobbly. Downstairs hat tree had a busted leg, but worked by leaning against wall. Towel rack in 2nd bath could not be used.

This place was recommended to me by friends of mine who now live on the island. The view and the location could not be beat. There are plenty of restaurants such as Scuttlebutt's and Docs, golf carts to rent and things to do. Scuttlebutt's has a great happy hour menu with 1/2 price crabs from 3-7. We ate there twice.

I got up at 4:30AM and sat on the balcony to watch the sunrise and enjoy the roaring ocean, wind blowing my hair and face and people watch as they drove in to watch the sun rise too. The view was just as the picture showed. With a view like this, you know there is a wonderful, miraculous God. Totally priceless.

The condo was immaculate. The staff was very nice and professional and easy to work with.

I would have loved to have given this condo 5 stars all the way across the board. However, while the condo is nicely decorated,very clean and can sleep 6 people, it only sat 3 of the 6 comfortably on the couch. The remaining 3 people had to sit on hard dining room chairs or a too small rattan one. It made it difficult for everyone to relax and get comfortable at night or during down time if you were not able to sit on the couch. Adding comfortable seating to hold all 6 people allowed would resolve this issue. It would also be helpful to have at least 2 towels and 2 wash cloths per person instead of 1 each if staying more than 1 night. Especially wash cloths. The mattresses are also somewhat lumpy and uncomfortable. Adding a simple topper would help to resolve this. Therefore, I gave the quality of the furniture a 3.

Overall, this is a beautiful place and location, with beautiful views that I would visit again. To make it more relaxing and restful, I would just make sure I brought chair cushions or a comfortable lawn chair next time if these simple changes have not been made. However, based on the excellent care, I believe Padre Escapes will make these simple changes to make it a total paradise. See you aga

This is the first time that the condo was MUCH BETTER than the pictures. We had to be the first to rent the condo following the extensive renovation. From the new flooring, kitchen appliances and bathrooms, to all of the new linens, the condo lived up to the wonderful ocean front views from the master bedroom and the living room. My only suggestion would be to replace tub/showers or at least the fixtures as the old fixtures are very noticeable.

We enjoyed our 5 days in the condo and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for an oceanfront condo that has all of the amenities.

Overall great experience. The unit was a little run down, but clean. Was impressed with your app in keeping us informed, except when it really mattered -- giving me notice that the unit was ready. I had to call (after it was already after 4:00 pm and I hadn't heard from anyone!) Come to find out my unit had been ready for hours. Would have liked to have known that.

This unit is very dated, floors pealing off, refrigerator looks like it had been sitting on the beach for 10 years - all rusted, carpets were gross. I'm not sure how else to describe a gross, old, grungy unit. Whomeer owns unit 203 should rent it for $10.00/night because that's what it's worth. I am so GLAD I took my own disinfectants, sheets, towels, pillows, blankets because the condition of this unit made us feel uncomfortable - we did complain on the first day.

Absolutely disgusting unit. I am angry that this unit is being allowed to be rented out. I have my pregnant wife and my 1 year old daughter in this seedy unit and it has completely ruined my trip and am disappointed that I have subjected them to this. Odd stains on the walls, dirty carpet, torn flooring, holes on the doors, dirty smelling unit. This condo feels like you can catch a disease by just being in the unit and I am not talking about Corona. I am not a snob by any means, but believe me when I say this unit feels like I’m in a 1 star hostel in a third world country that charges you by the hour. We are not letting my daughter touch anything and sanitize her hands every time she does. I would gladly have left to stay somewhere else but I could not because it being Memorial weekend, all our options were sold out by this point. Let me be clear, I am certain the cleaning staff did their best to spruce this unit up and this review is not a reflection on them. I feel like I just got sucker punched by management for allowing me to rent this unit and that is a poor reflection on them.

This property is in poor shape. We've asked the owner to make improvements but haven't got any cooperation. We did discount your stay the cost of one night's rent and we offered you a full refund if you decided to leave, you chose not to. We apologize for the disappointing property but we can't allow you to stay in the property for free all weekend like you were requesting.

First off, we arrived around 2pm, which we always do. We checked in, but were told that the room was being inspected so they would text us when it was available. It was 4pm and we had not received a text, we went to the office and they gave us our code. The condo was filthy. Walls, couch, floors, the bedrooms upstairs stunk. We had to close one of the bedrooms off and not use it. It was not a good visit, so we cancelled our July visit.

Overall, we had a good vacation. We rented the unit for the month of October. Great ocean view. Can’t say that the rental unit was though. It’s just worn out. For the money, I think the owner needs to put some of back for new stove and frig. The flooring is terrible. We’ve stayed at El Constante for years but no upgrades in most units. The side of the frig is covered with rust . Fan in dining room is very noisy. We’re not Ricky but if it was my unit, I’d never rent it in its condition.

You just can’t beat the location of this condo. With two balconies overlooking the beach on the 4th or July, we saw beautiful fireworks all night long. This condo had everything we needed for a great vacation.

This place did not feel clean. I believe because the floors are not inviting. Refrigerator rusted on the outside. Two microwaves, one above stove does not work (Remove it!!) and the location of the spare takes up cabinet space. The inside needs painting. This place is crying for a redo...

The only complaint were the beds in the second bedroom (not master). The bedroom was decorated for kids and the twin beds were horrible. One made a noise every time you moved. Both mattresses were very thin which would be ok for kids but not adults. One dining room chair was ready to collapse so we put it aside so no one would sit on it.

good experience. I have been here 6 years as a Winter Texan, but have never seen the grounds so dirty: papers, butts, plastics, weeds, dirt. A regular maintenance person needs to be on site. The furniture in 203 is shabby and the cabinets are disintegrating. The floor has holes. The toilet seat is disgusting.

That's odd, we've actually received compliments on how well the grounds were looking lately. The interior of 203 does need some work, we are currently working with the owner to improve it. The best view of the surf on the island. The weather was horrible but we still enjoyed watching the waves and birds from the sliding glass doors in the upstairs bedroom the living room downstairs.

The Boathouse restaurant up the street had great hamburgers and a view of the water. One morning we drove to Rockport to visit the Maritime Museum and had lunch at Charlotte Plummers - great view of the bay and excellent, reasonably priced seafood.

The management at the condos was very helpful and friendly.

We stayed in 203. This condo needs major updating. Carpet stained throughout. Bathroom fixtures falling apart.Floors in bathrooms bubbling up from water damage. Freezer smells like fish. Beds were so,so. Employees were fantastic and very helpful. We had an issue with stove not working and they fixed it quick. All that said, the location is fantastic.Pool and hot tub were ok, dated but functional. If you want nice, look elsewhere. You want location, this is it.

This was the third year we have gone to the
coast for a family vacation. Me, my daughter,
son-in-law, and grandson. During the week, at
different times, my 4 other granddaughters came
to spend the day. Our vacation "house" was
exactly as described to us...pool view from one
of the bedrooms, and gulf view from the living
area and master bedroom. The rooms needed some
updating, but, everything was clean and in
working condition. The customer service could
not have been better. The entire staff from
pool person to desk person were helpful and
always in a good mood with a friendly face.
We went into Port A to eat at Moby ****'s,
to the Candy Shop and visit all the gift shops.
Mostly we enjoyed the sun, sand, shells, sea
gulls, kites, and other beach people. We will
be back next year to reconnect with ourselves
and slow down for a few days.
